For 2024 a maximum tax credit of up to $1,459 is allowed for a taxpayer filing as single or head of household and up to $2,910 for a married couple filing a joint return. Deadline for 2024 is April 15th, 2025 or when you file your taxes, whichever comes first.

For 2025 a maximum tax credit of up to $1,535 is allowed for a taxpayer filing as single or head of household and up to $3,062 for a married couple filing a joint return. Deadline for 2024 is April 15th, 2026 or when you file your taxes, whichever comes first.
